As a start-up company, YOUtax has embraced digital technologoies they have discovered in the Level Up program and say that in turn they are providing extra value to their clients and servicing them in a simple and convenient way.
Founder Emma Baxter says her company has implemented a number of digital systems since starting the program including HubSpot, G Suite, Slack and Zoom as well as a tailor-made client portal that allows their clients to securely upload their tax information to enable them to complete their tax returns.
“These systems allow us to develop and maintain a personal relationship with our clients, whilst using state of the art technology in delivering our tax services in a timely manner.
“We incorporate video meetings, to build our relationships with clients Australia wide.
As a workplace, these digital systems allow us to offer flexibility, convenience and time efficiency for our team of employees and contractors who work remotely. We maintain connection and a sense of team and belonging through the use of digital technologies such as Slack.”
Baxter says by providing their services online and by harnessing technology for their employees to work remotely, they have significantly reduced thir overheads and capital costs and can ensure a productive environment right from the start of their business.
“By ensuring cost effective strategies from the outset, we are able to pass our cost savings on to our clients and can therefore be competitive right from the get go.”
Baxter says she would highly recommend that other local businesses embrace technology and go digital as it opens up many opportunities, not to mention the significant productivity and profitability gains.
“Manypeople fear that going digital will reduce their connection with their clients and employees, but we have found the opposite to be true,” she says.
